Joseph Clay is a current student at the University of Akron enrolled in the engineering program. Joseph has been writing academically for the last eight years, and tutored graduate students overseas studying as interpreters in 2009 on formal English. He continues to critique newspaper and magazine submissions for colleagues to this day. When he isn’t engrossed in his engineering studies, he spends his time working on carpentry projects, learning Japanese, and perfecting peanut butter sandwiches in the kitchen. His attention to detail, big-picture understanding, and humor are considered some of his strongest attributes, and have allowed him to reach the level of learning he is at today.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kiara Woods was born in Medina Ohio is 19 years old, is a 2014 graduate of Medina High School, and is also currently a sophomore at Ashland University. She is an Integrated Language Arts major there and loves knowing that she will be a future English teacher for the grades 7-12. Some interesting things you should know about her would be, she was captain of her cheerleading team from 7th grade all the way up to her senior year. She loves to sing and enjoy auditioning for TV shows. With that said, she has auditioned for American Idol and America’s Got Talent and she soon plans to audition for The Voice. R’ajja, a 19 year old year old mother of two daughters. Born and raised in the most violent part of Canton, Ohio faced many challenges in high school as a teen mother. Coming from a less fortunate family she faced many challenges of finishing high school. In June of 2014, a month after graduating she lost her oldest brother to a drunken driver in a vehicular homicide incident and she eventually felt the pressure to quit. Now pursing her bachelor’s degree at The University of Akron majoring in the field of Nursing she is more than determined to succeed. The determination her brother seen in her and her daughters livelihood are her reasons to continue pursuing her goals.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Noah Robotham is 19 years old. He graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He currently is a sophomore at the University of Akron. His major is Marketing Management. He is a basketball player at the University of Akron. Other than playing basketball, Noah enjoys spending time with his family, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. Noah is a huge movie buff and his favorite actors are Leonardo DiCaprio and Denzel Washington. Gabriel Dorsey is student at the university of Akron. His major is undecided and he currently doesn’t know what he wants to do in the future. Gabes favorite hobby is wrestling. Gabe is a life long wrestler but after having two knee surgeries Gabe made the transition into grappling where he regularly competes in tournaments such as the AGC. When Gabes not at school or on the mats he is working at Walgreens fulltime where he uses the money he makes to pay his tuition to further his education. Gabes current goals are to transfer to Cleveland state where he can pursue his childhood dreams of collegiate wrestling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joe Muscardelli is currently a student at The University of Akron. He is originally from Warren, Ohio, where he grew up, but moved to Akron about 2 years ago for the purpose of attending college. He is still unsure of his major, but he hopes to land on one soon. His hobbies include the guitar, the piano, and art.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mauricio was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, but has spent most of his life in Akron, Ohio. He is married to his beautiful wife Elicia, with whom he has two beautiful children, Maria and Isaac. He enjoys spending his free time with his family. Mauricio graduated from the University of Akron in 2011 with an Associates of Applied Science in Surgical Technology. He is currently working for Summa Health System in the surgery department as a Certified Surgical Technologist. In 2015, he returned to the University of Akron to pursue his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. He is currently taking English Composition II and recently finished writing his capstone essay, “The Digital Divide: Who it Affects Most.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joe Schlosser is a student at the University of Akron. He is in his second year with a major in accounting. After college he plans to have a successful business career. He has always been good with numbers and the way money flows is very interesting to him. He enjoys working as part of a group which is why the business world is where he want to go. Tevin Davis was born on December 4th, 1995, in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Cleveland Central Catholic high school where he played football and ran track for three years. Other that football and track, Tevin enjoys listening to music, spending time with his family, or playing basketball. Tevin also enjoys watching comedy movies. His favorite actor and comedian is Kevin Hart. Tevin is currently a 19 year old sophomore at The University of Akron. His favorite subject is math. He is studying in sports management. Baljit, 37-year-old married and a mother of two is a Registered Nurse, born and brought up in the state of Punjab in Northern India. She completed her Nursing diploma from the Baba Farid University Of Health and Sciences in India. She moved to U.S. with her family in 2011 and is pursuing RN to BSN Program at University of Akron. Currently she is enrolled in English Composition II course and has written her capstone essay, “Technology in Medicine: Transforming Patient Care,” Apart from her field of practice, she likes to explore new places, love cooking, and likes to hangout with family and friends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tyler Nolan was born in Akron, Ohio on March 24th 1994 into a middle class family where he was taught many different skills in the garage and on the computer. He is currently a student at Bowling Green State University who is majoring in criminal justice with a minor in political science. He has had much contact with technology from rebuilding laptops to working on circuit boards. Tyler grew up away from technology and has actually been self-thought for most of what he knows about technology.  He spends most of his personal time down range with his rifle shooting at targets or at the park running with his dog. Even though he does know about technology and the benefits he is still into the old fashioned values that many other people are slowly losing.
